Central China Investment and Trade Expo (referred to as "Expo Central China" in short), approved by the State Council, jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, the State Administration of Taxation, the State Administration of Industry and Commerce, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, the National Tourism Administration, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, China Federation of Industrial Economics as well as the six provincial People's governments of Shanxi, Anhui, Jiangxi, Henan, Hubei and Hunan, is held annually. The previous six Central China Expos were held successfully in Changsha, Hunan province, Zhengzhou, Henan province, Wuhan, Hubei province, Hefei, Anhui province, Nanchang, Jiangxi province and Taiyuan, Shanxi province respectively. The seventh Central China Expo is scheduled to be held on May 18-20, 2012 according to the "1+3" program, with the main venue in Changsha, capital of Hunan province and branch venues in Zhuzhou, Xiangtan and Zhangjiajie of the province, and organized by the Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce, the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, Changsha municipal People's government, Zhuzhou municipal People's government, Xiangtan municipal People's government and Zhangjiajie municipal People's government.
The upcoming Expo will deeply carry out and implement the Scientific Outlook on Development, and seize the opportunities of the global capital restructuring, and international and coastal industrial shift, themed with "opening for rise and green development" and according to the requirements of "reform, innovation, streamline and effectiveness" to give full play to the edges of central China, highlight policy propaganda and introduction, information exchange, exhibition and display, project negotiations and other functions, promote the comprehensive docking between central China and two markets and two kinds of resources at home and abroad to achieve the full, harmonious and sustainable development of economic society in central China.
