In the morning of Mar.7, Xi Jinping, member of Standing Committee of Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and member of Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee came to Hubei Room of the Great Hall of the People and debriefed government working report, plan report and budget report together with representatives of Hubei delegation. After listening to the speeches of representatives, Xi Jinping emphasized to persist in mind liberalization in considering the actual situation of Hubei and that great effort was necessary on further changing the concept, working conscientiously, reform & innovation and setting example of leaders, to build Hubei as an important strategic supporting point for the rising of Central China.
Xi Jinping recognized the developing achievements of Hubei economic society. He emphasized that Hubei has apparent geographic strength and shoulder great expectation from the central government. Chairman Hu Jintao expressed during the visit to Hubei in Aug., 2005 to build Hubei as an important strategic supporting point for the rising of Central China. Not long ago, the national government approved Wuhan urban area and Changzhutan city cluster to be comprehensive reform experimental areas on establishing a resource economic and environmental friendly society. To build Hubei as an important strategic supporting point for the rising of Central China mainly relies on meeting the requirement of central government, taking new step on liberating the mind, realizing new breakthrough during the reform & opening up, making progress in driving scientific development and achieving new effect in facilitating social harmony. |
