The First Foreign Capital International Bank in Jiangxi Province Was Approved

On Mar.21, Su Rong, secretary of Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the CPC, and Wu Xinxiong, governor of Jiangxi Province, met Katherine Tsang, president and CEO of Standard Chartered (China) and Xie Qihua, non-executive director of Standard Chartered (China). Present were Zhao Zhiyong, a standing committee member of Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the CPC and deputy governor of Jiangxi Province, and Yu Xinrong, a standing committee member of Jiangxi Province Committee of the CPC and secretary of Nanchang Municipal Committee of the CPC.

Standard Chartered is an international bank group with more than 1700 branches in over 70 countries and regions. Standard Chartered (China) Co., Ltd. was approved by China Banking Regulatory Commission at the beginning of March this year to set up its Nanchang branch. It is the first foreign capital international bank that approved to found its branch in Nanchang.
