To accelerate the cultivation of central pillar industries, Fengyang County in Anhui Province that is named as “material base for high-quality quartz sand in China” held the 2009 Project Promotion Meeting for Fengyang RMB100b Silicon Industry on October 24 in Bengbu, Anhui Province. The principals of nearly 80 domestic companies and associations in solar photovoltaic, optical power and glass industries attended the meeting. The meeting mainly carried out promotion and economic dialogue focusing on silicon (glass) industry and held other activities like signing ceremony. According to the preliminary estimation, the investment attracted projects related to silicon industry and other sectors signed more than RMB2b in total.
